There are plenty of games out there where the object is to jump something from one moving platform to another, but none seem as natural as when the something doing the jumping is a cat. Cats do this on their own all the time. Just give a cat a path across a room that they don't have to touch the ground and they are happy. Today's featured game combines this cat behavior with a classic platform game.

This game has been at the Gamescene.com game site for years but like a cat this game seems to defy time. Alley Cat is a game where the object is to get your cat as far across town as possible before time runs out or your cat goes through it's nine lives. That's right when these cats fall they may land on their feet but it cost them one of their nine lives. Go through nine lives and it's kitty heaven for your cat.

At the beginning of the game you get to choose your cat and they even have names. Who ever heard of an alley cat with a name? But we guess that giving them names is supposed to endear us to the little fur bags. You try to get your cat from window sill to window sill across a series of moving platforms. Timing is everything in this game. jump at the wrong moment and it's bye-bye kitty.

We like this game because it's cute and cruel at the same time sort of like an old Tom and Jerry cartoon. The corny music and the cartoon graphics are purr-fect and overall we think this game is the cat's meow.
