Sometimes a game has been hanging around on the Web for so long and appears on so many game sites that you forget just how good it is, until you play it again. Well, here's a game worth revisiting.
The name of the game is Carpet Golf 3-D authored by Ed Hobbs. This game was freely licensed and appears on a myriad of Game sites, We like playing the game at Blipco games. In case you haven't guessed yet, Carpet Golf is a 3-D miniature golf game Java applet. It is a brilliant piece of programming and the game has a very realistic feel, even without windmills.
Perhaps the first thing you will discover about this game is that the playing field is not level, literally. In other words, you have to figure out how the ball is going to "break" whenever you take your putt. Once you figure that out you only have to deal with the devious course lay-out which will challenge even the best putt-putters.
We'll be nice and let you in on a couple cheats for this game. "R" allows you to start a hole over again and "N" and "P" will take you to the next and previous hole, respectively.
We like this game because it has stood the test of time and is as challenging now as it was when it first appeared.
