Feature Game For 2005-04-11
Chaos Theory
http://www.fingertime.com/chaostheory.php

A butterfly flaps it's wings in Brazil and a chain reaction of events causes a blizzard in Fargo. That's the oversimplified Jurassic Park version of Chaos Theory. How about a game that is loosely based on chaotic math yet is as simple and fun as popping bubble wrap?

Today's featured game is called Chaos Theory and the object is to create chain reactions. Scientifically this game simulates a fast breeder reactor more than a climactic model, but don't let the science get in the way of having fun playing this game. What could be more fun than creating as many explosions as possible? If you like the beauty of the nuclear air burst in the game Missile Command, you'll love the explosions in this game.

Just in case you can't read the Kanji instructions for this game, you click on one of the the cascading blue dots to start a chain reaction of explosions, your score is based on how many blue dots are annihilated in the chain reaction. You get three shots to make your final score. The strategy lies in choosing just the right dot at the right moment to create the biggest chain reaction. If you are really good or really lucky you will clear the entire screen. Clear three screens and you are a master.

We like this game because you can make it as cerebral or as mindless as you want. And did we mention that there is the pleasure of creating multiple large explosions?
