Busch does it, Kerry does it, now you can do it too. We're talking about the great tradition of wild game hunting. The only difference in today's featured games is that you won't be bringing home dinner.
ESPN outdoors' Web site has four great Virtual hunting games. First off, don't think that these are twitch reflex shoot 'em ups because they're not. Just like real hunting, these games are all about patience and being savvy to the game that you are hunting. On this site you can choose between hunting deer, bear, turkey, or whatever shows up. The Gamespotter's favorite is turkey, mmm turkey!
Each of the games are true to the environment were you would hunt the particular animal and feature a realistic choice of firearms or bow weapons and the appropriate lures and calls. And when your opportunity finally comes to shoot, you have to get over your nerves and squeeze off a quick and accurate shot. If you start shooting like machine gun Kelly, you're going to scare everything away for miles and probably won't get another shot for some time.
We like these games because they a pretty good simulation of what hunting is about. Except in the games you don't have to freeze your butt off or field dress your kills.
