There is a coolness factor to 3-D racing games, something intangible that separates one game from another. Today's featured game is a 3-d racing game that has the "it" factor. We're not sure what it is but we like it.

One of the most popular games on Miniclip.com, Formula G1 is a futuristic racing game much like Pod Racer. You race a hover-ship around a 3-D track against a computer opponent and if you are quick enough you qualify to race on more tracks. The ships are cool, the scenery and tracks are cool, the physics are cool, and the sound is cool. which pretty much makes the game cool.

Like most racing game you use the arrow keys to accelerate, brake and steer. The only really tricky thing is hitting the power-ups spread around the track to speed you up enough to beat the AI opponent. Also if your really good you might get on the high score board for a track record. Be warned though this game doesn't work on most Mac computers. Well, something has to be uncool.

We like this game for it's cool factor. It's beautiful, it's fast and most of all it's fun.
