Here's a bizarre thought, imagine if Terry Gilliam of the Monty Python crew designed a twitch reflex shoot'em up game. While today's game isn't actually from the british comedy team member, it does have the same sort bizarre look and feel.
The latest online game from Pop Cap is called Heavy Weapon. Warm-up your mouse finger, because this game is all about rate-of-fire. Click as fast as you can to wreak mayhem upon an endless enemy onslaught. And oh, just to mix things up a bit you can use your right mouse button to fire off a nuke. And everyone knows nothing quite cleans up a neighborhood like a nuke.
The enemy in this game is a constant barrage of sometimes just plain weird weaponry and ships. This adds a chuckle to the already giddy excitement of laying down a constant wall of fire. There is just something about multiple rapid explosions that brightens up your day. Should this game be your thing, Pop Cap also has a shareware deluxe version with even more levels and weapons.
We like this game for the sheer fun of wearing out your trigger finger. Add to that all the fun things that you get to blow up and we're in heavy weapon heaven.
