We are always pleasantly surprised by the popularity of word puzzle games. It just goes to show that every game on the net doesn't have to involve shooting terrorist or role playing a gangsta pimp. If you like a good word find type game , we've got a treat for you.
Today's featured game is from Nabisco-world and is called Letter Rip. The object of the game is to create words by selecting adjacent hexagonal shaped lettered tiles in the correct order on the game board. You have two minutes each round to find as many words as you can. If you can find the minimum required number of words, which starts at ten and increases each round, you advance to the next round. Ten words in two minutes sounds easy enough, until you try it!
There is kind of a dual strategy in this game. The words must be at least 3 letters and no more than 8 letters. While bigger words get you more points, first you have to make sure you get enough words to advance. Each tile is initially worth 10 points, and the number of points (shown at the bottom of the tile) increases each time the tile is used. You receive bonuses for creating longer words - 2X score for 5 letters, 3X score for 6 letters, and 4X for 7 and 8 letters. But remember a high score won't necessarily get you to the next level. Sometimes it's better to go for quantity over quality.
We like this game for it's simplicity and it's subtlety. You have to work fast to keep playing yet you have to go for some bigger words to get a high score. Oh, and strangely enough the game didn't accept "gangsta" as a word. Imagine that.
