It always amazes us that there are so many different puzzle game that use a grid and and colored playing pieces. There must be thousands of theses type puzzle games. We found one that is sort of a cross between a Bejeweled and aTetris game.
Just like Tetris, today's game comes from Russia and it is called MuMu and it has absolutely nothing to do with oversized garments. In this game the objet is to keep the board clear. You move a bar with three colored dots on it (called a Bone) onto the board. When you get three or more of the same colored dots in-a-row they disappear from the grid. you can rotate the bones, just like Tetris, in order to get rid of as many dots as possible.
The scoring in this game is as simple as it is unusual. You get three points for every bone you put on the board and there are no bonuses for removing dots. You get a high score by keeping the board as clear as possible for as long as possible. This makes the game a more and more difficult the longer you play.
We like this game for it's simplicity and engaging game play. It's like playing Tetris before it was Tetris. We expect that we'll be seeing clones of this game at game sites everywhere soon.
