Turn based card battle games are all the rage right now. It's hard to find a sixth grade boy that doesn't collect cards of some sort. Whether it's Japanese anime or sword and sorcery, kids are throwing down. Cards that is.
Today's featured game takes the card battles online with Maganic Wars. In Maganic Wars, you flip spell, attack and defense cards against a computer opponent. Use your cards wisely and you defeat your opponent and atain more powers and fight tougher wizards, play poorly and chances are that you will die a horrible death.
This is one of those games that you can play at several levels. You can just tactically throw crds and hope you win, or you can use a long term strategy of collecting runes, and spells to harden yourself against the most formidable opponents. Also as you gain points you can spend them on more magical items in your quest to become a powerful wizard.
We like this game almost as much as the kids we know. And, of course, they're a lot better at it than we are.
