We've learned that peanut butter and chocolate go together. What else goes together? Hmmmmmm....of course!! Breakout and Bowling!! We shall call it Pongling, and it will be fun to play.
Believe it or not, folks, this combination works.
The game play is much like Breakout, but with a twist. Instead of blasting blocks you bounce your ball into ten lanes of ten pins. Your score is determined by how many pins you knock down in each lane. But just like in bowling you only get two tries at the pins in a lane. You're scored as you would be in bowling. Knock down all the pins in a lane on the first try and you get a strike. Knock them all down on the second try and you've got your spare.
This game requires more finesse than regular Breakout since you only have two tries at each set of pins. The graphics are bright and simple and non-intrusive. The sound is cyber-bouncy and futuristic. The play is intense and challenging.
We were bowled away with this creative piece of arcade action immensely.
