If you are stuck in the flatlands and can't get up to the slopes or if you just need your mid-week fix of skiing, we have got the ultimate game for you!
We we're skeptical when we first heard this games name Ski 3-D, We thought it would be another psuedo 3-D top-scroller game, boy, were we wrong. This is a luscious full screen true 3-D Skiing Simulation game! And the best part is that it's online and it's free. From the second you load this game you realize that finally somebody took the effort to design a game that is almost as fun as the real sport.
Besides the photo-realistic graphics and the true-to-life physics this game features three modes. A preview mode to get a view of the trail before you ski, A tutoring mode where you can ski freely, and a race mode with gates and timers and disqualification for falling or going off-course. How real is THAT! Oh, and did we mention the classy techno soundtrack for this game?
We really, really, really dig this game. It's skiing without the lift lines, the frozen face or broken bones. The only thing that could make this better is schnapps and some bunny action at the lodge.
