Why is it that a online game giant can take a classic arcade game and make it better than the same type game on smaller sites. Although we're sure that budget plays a part, commitment to making quality games is even more important. You may have seen a variation on today's game on another site, but our featured game is probably the best of the bunch.
Today's game is Miniclip.com's variation on the classic bomber maze games and is called Thunder Plunder. In this game you are a viking out seeking treasure (plunder). Although we're not sure that gunpowder was around in viking times your viking can use bombs to dispose of pesky ghost or if your not careful you can blow yourself up. You navigate around the maze-like landscape and collect as much plunder as possible while avoiding rather dim witted ghost. The pickings are easy early on but as you progress the ghost become smarter and more numerous making your job a little more difficult.
Getting around and or destroying ghost is made easier by the fact that you are armed with both firewalls and thunderballs. In addition to these two fine weapons there are also time bombs that you activate when you uncover treasure. The idea is for the bomb to go off in the proximity of a ghost, the trick is getting far enough away that you don't blow yourself up.
Why do we like this game better than others like it? It's just more polished, better graphics, corny arcade sound, and a cute character make it a treat to play. Or maybe it's just Thunderball envy.
