There are some games that you play for the sheer silliness of it. Todays featured game takes the silliness scale to a new level.
Even the title of this game is silly. In Yo Mow 2, Eurochamps 2004 the object is to punt a soccer ball across a soccer pitch using a riding lawnmower. The only thing we can figure is that this is a pre-game sport played by groundkeepers in Europe. Think good ol' American lawmowwer drag racing with a soccer ball thrown in. You might think a game this silly would be easy, think again, because this is a game of speed, skill and timing.
First off, in order to propel your mower you have keep striking the 'M' and "N" keys in rapid succession, like a pedal car. Secondly you have to time your punts using the spacebar perfectly to advance the ball across the pitch. Thirdly, you're racing both against a computer opponent and against the clock. Judging by the high score board you had better be quick.
We like this game for the sheer silliness of typing away madly at your keyboard in order to win an uterly silly race. It just goes to show if something moves, somebody will figure out a way to race it.
