One of our favorite games when we were young was Parker Bros. Clue. It is a game of deductive logic with a murder mystery to solve. Of course, proving that you were smarter than the other detectives only adds to it's appeal.
Today's featured game takes both the logic and the murderous theme from the Parker Bros. game and puts it into an online game. Professor Parker is both the name of the game and the detective that you play. With each level in the game you are given a group of clues to solve the murder using the classic variables of weapon, person and location. your score not only depends on your solving the mystery with no mistakes but also by how quickly you solve it.
The online version of this game is a slightly crippled version of the shareware game , but that doesn't take away from it's appeal. There is even a sequel to the game which uses a Mine Sweeper type of logic. Both game have very rich Victorian style graphics that almost make you want to don a deerstalker cap and pick up a drop-stem pipe.
Although this game is obviously derived from the game of Clue, it's a great online interpretation. And solving a murder or two before lunch does wonders for your self-esteem.
