Ever since Minesweeper shipped with the Windows operating system, practically everyone who has a computer has played the game. And inevitably there are hundreds of Minesweeper clone games on the Web, Today's game takes the classic game to the Spanish Main.
Instead of avoiding mines, you are trying to find buried treasures in this game called Pirate's Booty. You are leading a motley crew in the search for buried treasure. You have at your disposal a very powerful metal detector (Don't ask where THAT came from), the detector is so powerful that it can scan practically a whole island. Be careful though because it will vaporize treasure if it's directly over it. Vaporizing treasure lowers the moral of your cutthroat crew, and if you value your life, you don't want a crew with low moral, do you Cap'n?
Like classic Minesweeper scanning reveals the presence of treasure by showing numbers in adjoining grid squares and it's up to your deductive logic and your shovel to uncover the booty. You can keep playing this game and adding to your riches as long as you keep the crew's moral up, let it slip and you'll be walking the plank faster than you can say Davey Jones' locker.
Arggh! We like a good Pirate game and this is a puzzle too. And besides digging for treasure makes a lot more sense than simply trying to keep from being blown to smithereens.
