The object of Runner is to drive as fast as you can through a maze of city streets searching for an escape. Not stopping ever is the only way to get away from Them. Who are Them? Them are the vehicles that are after you. Them won't stop until they have crushed your hatchback into a ball of flaming wreckage. And then they'll smash into it a few more times just because that's how mean Them are.
A solid 3D engine and a relentless AI is what makes Runner a great gaming experience. Runner isn't just a race for the finish, it's a nonstop sprint for safety. A ceaseless attempt to avoid relentless pursuers. In other words, the gameplay is nonstop excitement.
