We love the game Mastermind, It always appealed to the math geek in us. While we're sure it wouldn't impress that Numbers guy on TV. The game always makes us feel that we've got some kinda Sherlock Holmes mojo going on.
To give the classic Mastermind an even more clandestine feel today's featured game substitutes a digital keypad for colored pegs, Safebreaker allows you to do just that. Break a safe in as few moves as possible. If you don't figure it out in ten moves you lose. And the fewer moves it takes you, the higher the score.
Although a mathematician could probably spend all day telling you the complexities of the game, we'll just say that having ten digits instead of four or five colors makes this game quite challenging. Like most Mastermind type games this one tells when you get the number correct, and whether it's in the correct position. And you can have multiple instances of the same number.
We love this game because we like the safe metaphor and it's high tech number pad approach. Maybe it's just us, but the colored pegs seem simpler after this game. So put on the Mission Impossible theme music, and break this puppy!
