Some games just look cool. you know even before you play the game that your going to enjoy playing. Such is the case with today's featured game.
Supposedly based on the old game Trailblazer, this game sports the derivative name of Trail Rider and it has absolutely nothing to do with either horses or motorcycles. Instead you are guiding a ball down a tiled path floating in space. Don't let the space thing fool you gravity is very real here, so you want to avoid rolling off the path. And your goal is to complete each level as quickly as possible.
Although the game site doesn't supply much in the way of instructions, here are a few hints to get through the game, The red tiles slow down your ball, green tiles speed up your ball, When you're on blue tile you get bonus points for jumping (space bar) and the little gold dots are bonus points. Be careful on the yellow and purple tiles because they are slippery or reverse your controls (arrow keys). Oh, and most importantly, don't roll off of the edge or into a void. What could be simpler, or more fun.
We like this game for it's adrenaline pumping pace and cleverness. Not to mention it's cool 3-D look. We think of this game as sort of an abstract skateboarding game, but that just shows how weird we really are.
