A plethora of pesky planets plague players of Incoming. In this game you play as an immobile "cannon planet" defending itself against aggressive enemy planets who are out to shrink you down to nothing. Your objective is to destroy all of the spheres above you by using your mouse to fire little pink globes that will disintegrate any enemy they come in contact with.
We would describe Incoming as an incomplete playable game with lousy graphics. Gameyard submitted Incoming a while ago and we've avoided reviewing it because we were hoping they would get around to finishing it. The game-play is intriguing and is entertaining for a short time, but before long the game's undeveloped pieces and bugs become glaringly obvious. Enemies often appear on screen which are impervious to destruction which makes the stated objective, to destroy all of the enemy spheres, impossible. It becomes an unending exercise of futility. What's the point? The mustard yellow background and the lack of graphical effort was especially disappointing. Give us more. If those are planets they should be in space. The "cannon planet" should be a cannon ON a planet. The creators have the bare inkling of an arcade game worth playing. We hope they'll keep at it and overhaul the game. At this point we have to give Incoming the Seal of Inferiority.
