Since it is winter, it's a fun time to brush up on your winter Olympic sports. While the extreme sports get all the headlines, don't forget the venerable Nordic sports of Biathlon, Jumping and curling.
Mini-Clip brings us a cool 3-D game that rolls all the Nordic sports into one game. Nordic chill will challenge you with not one but three combined events. You must be able to cross-country ski, shoot accurately and quickly in the virtual Biathlon. Then you move onto the ski jump where you get three tries at getting some serious air. Once you finish that, it's onto the ice for some Curling.
All of these games have a great 3-D graphic look and make you feel like you are there (except for the cold, exhaustion and broken limbs.) The shooting part of the game seems to require a pretty fast computer but thats more than made-up for by the realistic aiming. And purist will note that you don't get a sweeper to aid your Curling throws, but these are minor complaints. There is also a daily and all time scoreboard to see if you really are virtual Olympic material, (we're not.)
We dig this game because it combines three games, any of which would be great on tis own. We only wish we had the skills to master the sports, maybe by the next Olympics (yeah RIGHT!)
