It's hard to believe with snow still flying in some parts of the country that spring training is in full swing. It won't long now before the first pitch. Just to get you in the spirit of things today's game is a baseball sim.
Clevermedia's Pretty good Baseball is just that, a pretty darn good simulation of America's pastime. If you enjoy the strategy of baseball, then this is the game for you. You have to try to figure where the next pitch is coming when you're batting and try to pitch where the bat ain't when you're pitching. Forget the cartoon players in this game, this is serious stuff. Unlike arcade games, not every hit is a run and to scoring takes a lot of skill and a little luck.
When you're on offense in this game, you've got to figure when to swing or lay off on a pitch and you can even try bunting. You also have manage your batting order and pinch hitters. On defense it's all about your pitcher. Knowing where to pitch certain batters, and when to walk them. And you've also go to know when to go to the bull pen.
We like this game because it highlights the strategy side of baseball in a realistic way. With all the contreversy as of late with baseball, it's nice to just sit back and play in a league all of your own.
